Mayor of London behind electric cars

BorisJohnson Boris Johnson the mayor of London challenged the auto industry to fix up his Toyota mini-van. "Come on, folks: you must be able to do it. I don’t want to buy another internal combustion engine; there is a market waiting to be satisfied, and if that isn’t an economic stimulus I don’t know what is." says Boris after shooting his fast lap as "The star in a reasonably priced car" on Top Gear for this coming Sunday nights show on BBC.

He's hanging on to his old machine for a few more years in the hope that the industry can fill the need.

Already in London the g-whiz battery Electric car is a popular sight; in a crowded city the car glides by congestion charging and into parking spots too small for the Chelsea Tractors that dominate the roads. Free charging stations are already in place... Another Johnson initiative. Are you reading Mr. Bloomberg?

So Boris, we say "You're close to the houses of Parliament; give them a prod towards EV".
