95mpg Civic

The Aptera is an odd shape compared to a regular car because of its designers pursuit of the ultimate in low drag transport. But what happens if you apply the same logic to a ‘92 Honda Civic? The answer… The AEROcivic !

aerocivic-top-2

It’s the brainchild of Mike Turner and was started following the gas price hike after Katrina. He’s streamlined the car down to a Cd of only 0.17, compared to a typical 0.3 for a good car and 0.4+ for an SUV. The effect is little to no wind noise and little to no fuel required to keep the car moving at speeds up to 80mph.

Any negatives? Looks like a bit of a sod to park!
